چکیده
Patients with chronic disorders of consciousness (CDoC) have various variants the pathological organization functions including sympathetic hyperactivity and hormonal changes. The objective: to determine severity paroxysmal (PSH), function pituitary-adrenal system in patients CDoC. Subjects Methods. 54 CDoC were enrolled study. randomized groups depending on assessment Coma Recovery Scale-Revised scale CRS-R index calculation. PSH was assessed 7 times a day for two days. During first week from moment admission, blood sampling performed study levels ACTH cortisol. Results. syndrome detected all groups, there no significant dependencies its time day. There differences cortisol during Conclusions: is observed most In CDoC, daily rhythm secretion are disrupted.

Automatic dysfunction may contribute to the hemodynamic disturbances in cirrhosis. Tests of autonomic function were performed in 31 patients with non-alcoholic cirrhosis and 30 healthy subjects. Patients were divided into 3 groups according to child- Pugh,s classification ( A.B.C). The patients with moderate and severe cirrhosis( child B,C) had significant parasympathetic disturbance ( in the v...

Serum adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) and Cortisol were assayed in 38 males alcoholics and 24 male control subjects using radioimmunoassay (RIA) techniques. Biochemical parameters of hepatic function, depressive symptoms and severity of withdrawal were also assessed. Thirteen percent and eleven percent of the patients and elevated serum ACTH and Cortisol levels respectively. Evidence of adv...

Alterations in HPA-axis and autonomic nervous system functioning in childhood anxiety disorders point to a chronic stress hypothesis.
BACKGROUND It is of debate whether or not childhood anxiety disorders (AD) can be captured by one taxonomic construct. This study examined whether perceived arousal (PA), autonomic nervous system (ANS) and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis measures can distinguish children with different primary diagnoses of clinical anxiety disorders (AD) from each other, and from a general population ...
